Susan Pevensie's Green Archery Dress

I fell in love with this dress Susan wears the first time I saw The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe. I had a lot of fun making a replica of this dress!

Here are some pictures from the film:

My Replica:

I hand embroidered around the notched front in light green:

The back is laced with black leather cording:

Detail of the sleeve:

The sleeve edge is embroidered to match the neck:

I am now selling this dress in my etsy shop.

I used Simplicity 9891 for the base of the dress and then did several modifications to make it look more like Susan's.
Here is a helpful web site with lots of information: http://costumes.narniaweb.com/sugrnarchery.asp
Hope this helps!

Queen Susan,
I actually already sold this dress. But I do occasionally do custom orders, depending on the amount of time the dress would be needed in. But a new dress like this would be about $200.
I'm thinking about attempting some costumes from Prince Caspian pretty soon. I have the perfect fabric for the dress Susan wears to the coronation. :)
Keep an eye on my etsy shop www.annakristine.etsy.com for upcoming costumes. You can also contact me through my etsy store if your interested in something custom.
Cheers,

If you love Archery sport and you are an Archer by heart then you will definitely appreciate and adore this Archery shirt. It was really design in behalf of our beloved sport.

Really, this is an amazing replica! GREAT JOB! I love narnia and Archery so I am quite satisfied. Would you ever take up a commission to make another narnia gown... (from Prince Caspian) I am making the red coranation dress, and it's proving to be quite the chalange, So I'm not sure if I'll get to my next project, the farewell gown. Would you ever think of doing it? Great job! keep it going!

Hello Phyllis!
Yes, I'm always glad to do custom orders. If your ever interested let me know! I would need time to research and figure out just how to make that dress. (It's one of my favorites as well!) But I would love to make it. :)

Philomena-I made the dress in a week. I postponed my birthday party because last minute I decided I wanted to have a Narnia party and I wanted this dress. I'm not sure I would be that crazy again but it was fun!

Wow! That's fast!!! A Narnia party sounds like fun!

Hi! I'm going to attempt to make my own version of this dress, and I was wondering what the underdress looked like. If you could draw a picture or something, I think I could figure out how to do it, but right now I'm totally lost.

Your dress looks AMAZING!!
Thank you!

OMG this is amazing! i found the pattern you used, thats alot of mods! (and what i say next i dont mean to be rude in any way) but Butterick 4827 works as well...So i think i might make one! (Im an archer and this will work perfect) so...thanks for inspiration, and another great job!

Yeah that Butterick pattern would work great as well! That pattern wasn't out when I made this dress though. Now there are a lot more options I think! :)
Good luck if you make one!
