Isabella Embroidered Regency Gown

This dress was an intense undertaking as it is has so much detail and is entirely hand sewn.
I used the Sense and Sensibility Gathered Bodice pattern and modified it.

Sleeves are from Janet Arnold's Patterns of Fashion 1.
Buttons up with buttons I covered:
Front is decorated with embroidery:Tiny tucks on each side and black ribbon trims the waist:
The hem is trimmed with embroidery and ribbon. Hemmed with black fabric.

One things for sure...I'm so glad it's done! I've been working on this dress for months. Feels so good to have it done!

It's now for sale in my SHOP.

Wow! It is stunning, and I'm sure it looks beautiful on you! Great job. I cant believe you are going to sell it *sob* but then again I suppose half the fun was in making it right? Now you can start afresh with something new!

Beautiful. Love the shade of red and particularly the black ribbon at the waist. Would be great to see a photo with a real body in it :)

Looking forward to seeing your next project in the making.

Heidi, I've been planning on selling this dress since I started it so I haven't let myself get to attached. I'm actually a bit tired of looking at it at the moment. haha ;) But I am pretty happy with how it turned out! I need to make one for myself now...my mum's planning a Jane Austen tea, I need a costume!

Leah, thank you! I didn't feel too dedicated on this project though, I put it in the bottom of my sewing bag a number of times. haha I'm not very good at focusing on one thing.

Jenaveve, I would love to do a real photo shoot with a model in this dress! Maybe I will get to one of these days. :) I'm not very good at taking pictures of myself though, haha I need my friend to help me.
